Ingredients

• 1 part vodka
• 2 parts champagne
• 1 sugar cube
• 2 dashes of bitters
• Lemon peel for garnish

Steps

1. Place the sugar cube in a champagne flute. Add the bitters.
2. Pour in vodka. Gently mix.
3. Top up with champagne. Be careful not to let it foam over.
4. Twist lemon peel over the drink to release the oils, and then drop it in as garnish. Serve immediately and toast to a bright year ahead.
